Keynote Speakers
Arnaud Delcorte
is a Research Director of the Belgian National Science Foundation (FNRS) and a Professor at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain). He heads the surface characterization facility of the university. Arnaud has been active in Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry for more than 25 years. His current research activities encompass the theoretical and experimental study of energetic cluster-solid interactions, with an emphasis on soft molecular emission and 2D/3D molecular characterization of surfaces. His team also explores gas cluster-induced soft and reactive landing as a new method of (bio)surface nanofabrication. Overall, Arnaud has published 6 book chapters, ~190 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received ~60 personal invitations at international conferences. He is the Chair of the International Committee of the Biennial SIMS Conference, a member of the SIMS Europe Workshop Advisory Board and a member of the International Scientific Committees of the ECASIA and ISI conferences. He was co-chairman of the SIMS XXI International Conference in Cracow (Summer 2017) and of the SIMS Europe Workshop in Nottingham (September 2023).
